Wine Review: This inky purple colored Petite Sirah from Napa Valley is very good. It opens with a fragrant black raspberry bouquet with hints of boysenberry. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, balanced and super smooth. The flavor profile is a very tasty blueberry with notes of fine grained minerality. I also detected hints of black plum, oak and chocolate caramel mixed in as well. The finish is dry and fruit and refined tannins drift away very nicely. This Petite Sirah would pair very nicely with a filet mignon. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Intense deep, dark blue/black color profile. Aromas of plum, quince, violets, figs, molasses, caramel and marbled rye awaken the nose. The entry is soft and weighty, then builds into a broad mid palate structure which has layers of ripe, black fruit flavors. The tannins are mouthwatering and medium grained which hold the fruit profile and carry a long, lingering finish.
