Wine Review: This very pale straw-colored Sauvignon Blanc from Riley's Rows opens with a gooseberry and gentle lime bouquet with a hint of jasmine and orange blossom. On the palate, this wine is light plus bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is nicely balanced, round, delicate and very approachable. The flavor profile is mild lime and saline blend with notes of gentle gooseberry and lemongrass. We also detected hints of chalky minerality and dash of white pepper. The finish is dry and pleasantly refreshing. The Tasting Panel would pair this food friendly Sauvignon Blanc with baked Dover sole, baked scallops, or with oysters. Enjoy – KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: My goal with my Sauvignon Blanc is always to make my favorite wine to drink. My 2022 vintage is the perfect balance between great acidity and elegant fruit notes. The wine opens up with Meyer lemon and finishes with hints of ruby red grapefruit and white peach. This wine pairs as well with oysters as it does with a sunny day on a boat!
