Wine Review: This dark ruby colored Cabernet Sauvignon based blend from Riley's Rows opens with a black cherry and black currant bouquet with hints of spearmint and menthol. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is nicely balanced, round, smooth, and very approachable. The flavor profile is black cherry, blackberry, and black tea blend with notes of stony minerality and light oak. We also detected hints of cinnamon and spiced red plum. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity and well-managed dusty tannins are very nicely extended. The Tasting Panel would pair this great value red blend with New York strip steak. Enjoy - KWGTP

Winemaker Notes: My 2021 Riley's Rows 3x3 Red Blend displays the balance characteristic of this wine. The Merlot gives the wine plenty of fruit with strong notes of blackberry. The Cabernet supports the wine with great tannin structure and acidity. The Syrah provides the spice with notes of white pepper and a little bit of bacon fat. I love the way these three grape varieties play together and allow me to make a wine with plenty of fruit, structure, and spice.
