Wine Review: This pale straw-colored Chardonnay opens with a mild pineapple and red apple bouquet with a hint of white peach. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, crisp, and bright. The flavor profile is a Meyer lemon and saline blend with notes of white peach and Granny Smith apple. I also detected hints of chalky minerality, chamomile tea, and a faint touch of butterscotch at the very end. The finish is dry and quite refreshing for a Chard. The Tasting Panel would pair this Chard with baked halibut, Dover sole or grilled bass. Enjoy – KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: This Chardonnay for Riley's Rows is off the coveted Platt Vineyard. It features flavors of crushed apricot, ripe Meyer lemon and panna cotta. A spectacular wine paired with food and just as sumptuous on its own! Only 48 cases produced.
