Wine Review: This dark ruby colored wine seems to be a crowd pleaser every year. This year's vintage opens with a fragrant red currant bouquet with hints of cranberry and red cherry. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, and juicy. The flavor profile is a tasty black cherry with notes of light oak. The finish is dry and slightly prolonged. This wine is easy to drink and very food friendly. I would pair this wine with Theresa's meatloaf. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Unlike our single-vineyard wines, which reflect the distinctive character of each site, Three Valleys represents the blending of vineyards winemaking at its finest. Zinfandel fruit determines the wine's varietal character; old vine Carignane contributes its own bright fruit and acidity; Petite Sirah and Syrah add peppery spice, depth of color, and firm tannins; Grenache brings briar fruit and lively tannins. Rich fruit and exotic spice give immediate appeal. This excellent wine will be at its best over the next five to six years. JO/EB (6/08)
