Wine Review: This pale straw-colored Chardonnay from Rhys opens with a butterscotch, pineapple, and poached pear bouquet with hints of quince and fennel. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with plus acidity. The mouthfeel is round, fresh, and bright. The flavor profile is butterscotch and pear blend with notes of oak, white peach, and oolong tea. We also detected hints of mango, unripe pineapple, and white cranberry. The finish is dry, and its flavors linger and last for quite some time. The Tasting Panel would pair this Chard with PEI steamed mussels with drawn butter. Enjoy – KWGTP
