Wine Review: This dark red colored Pinot Noir from Oregon opens with an old oak, leather and plum bouquet with hints of oregano. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced and very approachable. The flavor profile is a gentle blackberry and toasted oak blend with notes of red plum. I also detected hints of flinty minerality, cinnamon, oregano and black pepper. The finish is dry and its flavors saunter away. Pair this Pinot with Parisian thyme-basted pork tenderloin with oyster mushrooms. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: The wine reflects a bright ruby color. The nose is very fresh and fruity, with a lot of red (strawberry, raspberry) and black fruits (wild cherry, blackberry), enhanced by subtle floral and spicy aromas. Elegance and harmony describe precisely the palate. Tannins are present and fine, while the acidity brings a nice freshness, particularly long.
