Wine Review: This opaque and very dark ruby red blend from Washington State opens with an appealing black cherry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced and smooth. The flavor profile is a pleasant mild red plum with notes of black cherry with hints of oak, faint minerality and black currant. The finish is dry and its moderate tannins drift away nicely. This wine is food friendly and would pair well with shepherd's pie. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: This is our "Tuesday night" wine that will pair with just about anything that once walked on four or is made with noodles and tomatoes. It has wonderful dark fruit aromatics while displaying a touch of floral character. Built around a medium tannin structure, while displaying a hint of savory herb, the wine melds flavors of dried plum, dark cherry, currant, black olive and oak spice, making this a very versatile wine suited for any casual meal.
