Wine Review: This dark ruby colored Cabernet Sauvignon from Reininger opens with a pomegranate and strawberry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, smooth and easy to drink. The flavor profile is a mineral infused black plum with notes of oak and faint dark chocolate. The finish is dry and it mild tannins fade away nicely. I would pair this food friendly Cab with shepherd's pie. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Black raspberry and cassis dominate the nose of this garnet colored Cabernet with a whiff of coriander, black violets, orange peel and fresh cut sirloin rubbed with a pinch of white pepper. Plum and black cherry enter the mix on a medium weight palate with fine grain tannins that possess a hint of dust accompanied by black olive, a scraping of graphite and bolstered by a hit of dry Chambord… excellent with a grilled well-marbled steak.
