Wine Review: This dark ruby colored Merlot from Washington State was well received by the panel. It opens with an interesting red cherry and vanilla oak bouquet with hints of toffee. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, and smooth. The flavor profile is a red cherry with notes of gentle oak and a touch of red raspberry in the background. The finish is dry and it fades away nicely. This pleasant Merlot would pair well with a juicy bacon burger or blackened tuna. Enjoy - KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: Aromas: Dark chocolate, mixed red berries, rose petal, applewood smoke, thyme, & lavender. This wine’s versatile, spicy, dark Bing cherry and bitter chocolate flavors make this Merlot perfect for drinking on the patio during chilly late summer and fall nights. Its lush, mouthwatering acidity and medium to full-bodied structure pair well with hearty meats and gamebirds with rich, glistening sauces, creamy squash soups, tomato bisque, and triple creme cheeses.
