Wine Review: This midnight purple colored Malbec from Red Schooner is very good. It opens with a kirsch bouquet with hints of blueberry and raspberry. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, balanced, smooth and lush. The flavor profile, like the nose features kirsch along with red plum, oak and vanilla. We also detected hints of blueberry and chocolate. The finish displays mild tannins and a touch of heat that lingers. This Malbec does even better on day two. It you can’t wait, decant it and serve it with your Sunday pot roast. Enjoy – KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: Dark yet luminous our Malbec is the color of Bing cherries. Voyage 7 combines scents of dark, rich berries with saddle leather, a whiff of jasmine, freshly baked bread & toasted oak. Layered and serious, the palate features flavors of cherries, plums, currants and pomace. A sustained vibrancy gives this Malbec backbone from entry all the way through to the finish.
