Wine Review: This very dark purple entry level Merlot opens with a boysenberry bouquet with a hint of blackberry. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, slightly acidic and juicy. The flavor profile is a ripe black cherry with some integrated oak and notes of blackberry. The finish is dry and its moderate tannins are a bit sticky. This is a good everyday Merlot. I would pair it with an Italian sausage sandwich with sauteed onion and peppers. Enjoy - Ken
