Wine Review: This almost clear colored Riesling from Red Newt opens with ginger and bread dough bouquet with a hint of honey. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with integrated medium acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, polished and delicate. The flavor profile is a tasty light lime and white tea blend with notes of ginger and light pineapple. We also detected some hints of green apple and lemon zest. The finish is dry and its flavors and acidity drift away nicely. The Tasting Panel would serve this Riesling on its own. With food, we would pair it with hard cheeses or with seared diver scallops. Enjoy – KWGTP
