Wine Review: This midnight purple colored Shiraz from Israel is very good. It opens with a mild musty oak and gentle blueberry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, soft, approachable and smooth. The flavor profile is a mild blackberry and dried beef blend with notes of black licorice. I also detected hints of black olive and a touch of black pepper. While not overly complex, this Shiraz is pleasant and food friendly. Enjoy it with a burger. - Ken

Winemaker Notes: The wine has a typical Shiraz aroma of violets, lavender and black pepper along with a slight oak aroma. It is a full-bodied wine with a strong black-purple hue unique to this variety.
