Wine Review: This California Cabernet Sauvignon comes with an elegant red velvet label. It is a slightly hazy medium purple color and has a savory bouquet with dark cherry, red currant, smoked meat, chocolate and a hint of mint. On the palate, it has a medium-plus body with medium-plus acidity and is balanced. It also displays plenty of ripe fruit and some nice layers. Its flavors are dark plum, dark cherry, mocha, black tea and I also found some light oak and black pepper. There are plenty of dusty tannins in the long finish, so I would decant this Cab for at least 30 minutes. Then enjoy it with some grilled lamb chops - Mark
Winemaker Notes: A dark purple in the glass, this Cabernet Sauvignon opens with a beautiful nose of blue and black fruits. Expressive flavors of raspberry and blackberries are met with blackcurrant and warm plum. The wine has a lovely freshness and vibrancy with a medium bodied midpalate. Textured with plush tannins, the finish is smooth and velvety.
