Wine Review: This pale straw-colored Riesling from the Finger Lakes opens with a pleasant mild green melon bouquet with hints of lemon verbena, lime, faint apricot and a touch of match stick. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, slightly acidic and mouthwatering. The flavor profile is a juicy lemon-lime blend with notes of minerality. I also detected hint of Squirt soda. The elevated fruit flavors give a perception of off-dry flavors however, the acidity keeps it in check. The finish is pleasant and friendly and has nice length. I would pair this Riesling with plump boiled sea scallops. Enjoy – Ken
