Wine Review: This garnet colored red blend from the Finger Lakes opens with a black raspberry and plum bouquet with hints of vanilla oak and orange bell pepper. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with slightly elevated acidity. It is also juicy and a bit bold and savory. The flavor profile is a tart cherry and red plum blend with notes of red raspberry and oak. I also detected hints of strawberry, black tea, and orange bell pepper towards the end. The finish is dry and its moderate dusty tannins stick around for a little while. I would pair this nice red blend with a juicy bacon burger. Enjoy – Ken & Joe
