Wine Review: This dark red colored Zinfandel opens with a fragrant mulberry and strawberry bouquet with a hint of cola. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, balanced and very fruit forward. The flavor profile is a mild oak and mineral influenced red currant with notes of herbs, black forest cake and a touch of tangerine. The finish is dry and its tannins build up and stick around for quite some time. This Zin will benefit from some aeration. So, decant it and serve it with a tangy pulled pork dinner. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: The most elegant of the Ravenswood Single Vineyard Designate Zins, the 2015 Dickerson shows aromas of currant and raspberry with a hint of eucalyptus and dried herbs. The mouthfeel has juicy acidity with very fine tannins leading to a long, lingering finish.
