Wine Review: This opaque and dark ruby red colored blend from Ravenswood opens with a ripe plum and blackberry jam bouquet with a hint of boysenberry. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, slightly acidic, juicy and a little fruit forward. The flavor profile is a mild mineral infused stewed plum with notes of gentle blackberry and tea. I also detected hints of oak and a touch of strawberry rhubarb towards the end. The finish is dry and its mild tannins drift away nicely. This blend is food friendly and would pair well with a pork tenderloin with fig. Enjoy – Ken (Only available in tasting room)
Winemaker Notes: A dark ruby color with lively scents of dark cherry, boysenberry, tea and spice with equally pleasing flavors of berry, baking spice, and vanilla cream. This wine is full-bodied, well rounded, and mouth-filling, yet with a smooth silky tannin finish.
