Wine Review: This ruby colored Zinfandel from Napa opens with a Dr. Pepper and vanilla bean bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced and savory. The flavor profile is a blend of chocolate, caramel and espresso with a hint a hint of black currant and cinnamon. The finish is dry and its flavors fades away nicely. This Zin would pair nicely with rosemary encrusted lamb chop. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Since 1976, Ravenswood has been synonymous with spectacular single-vineyard wines crafted from distinguished, old-vine vineyards. Located on Zinfandel Lane in the western benchlands of Napa Valley, Dickerson is a small, superb vineyard yielding beautifully structured Zinfandel. This wine is traditionally full of ripe raspberries, and the 2014 does not disappoint. 100% Zinfandel, this wine is bright, with a mouthful of fresh red raspberry, cedar, mint and nutmeg baking spices.
