Wine Review: This bright red colored Zinfandel from Ravenswood opens with a strawberry rhubarb bouquet with hints of red plum and cedar. On the palate, this wine is light bodied, balanced, savory and juicy. The flavor profile is a tasty mild oak infused strawberry with hints of minerality, black cherry and red beet. The finish is dry and its moderate tannins are a little sticky and linger. The Panel suggested that this Zin will appeal to Pinot loving readers. They suggested drinking it in the near term with grilled salmon and mushroom risotto. Enjoy - KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: The most elegant of the Ravenswood Single Vineyard Designate Zins, the 2013 Dickerson shows aromas of currant and raspberry with hint of eucalyptus and dried herbs. The mouthfeel has juicy acidity with very fine tannins leading to a long, lingering finish.
