Wine Review: This ruby colored big boy Zinfandel from Ravenswood opens with a very faint cherry and shy black raspberry bouquet with hints of menthol and cinnamon. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, balanced, and smooth. The flavor profile is a tasty black cherry with notes of plum. The panel also detected hints of light vanilla oak, strawberry and clove. The finish is dry and its monster oak tannins are very sticky. The panel suggested pairing this Zin with Stuart’s steak treats. Enjoy - KWGTP

Winemaker Notes: The 2012 Big River Vineyard Zinfandel is wonderfully juicy with black, jammy fruit. Good texture is the hallmark of this weighty wine.
