Wine Review: This dark ruby colored opens with a spicy blueberry bouquet with hints of old oak. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, smooth and savory. The flavor profile is a tasty blueberry with notes of milk chocolate, black currant, and vanilla oak. The finish is dry and its medium oak tannins stick around for quite some time. This Syrah would pair well with filet mignon. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: This is our fifth release from this unique property. This cool climate brings out the savory characteristics of the variety, as opposed to its jammy, fruity side, and one finds here aromas and flavors of smoked meats, white pepper, green olive and grapefruit, with an almost Pinot-like texture and balance on the palate; definitely not an overblown Shiraz style.
