Wine Review: This dark ruby colored Pinot Noir from Oregon is very good! It opens with very fragrant acai berry and craisin bouquet. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, slightly acidic, fruit forward and flamboyant. The flavor profile is a ripe black plum and mild oak blend with notes of blackberry and red currant. I also detected a hint of black pepper and black licorice towards the end. It is a very complex Pinot. The finish is dry and its acidity and flavors last for quite a while after the wine is gone. This big Pinot is not for fans of elegant wines. This Pinot is made more for the fireplace and cigar crowd. I would pair this with sliced Kerrygold Dubliner cheese. Enjoy - Ken
