Wine Review: This light red colored Grenache from Qupe is a very nice elegant offering. It opens with a faint strawberry and oak bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced and juicy. The flavor profile is a gentle kirsch and mild strawberry blend with hints of red plum and hint of thyme. The finish is dry and its flavor fade away nicely. This Grenache is very food friendly and versatile. I would pair it with Hungarian goulash or chicken and shrimp paella. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: Stylistically this is a cool climate Grenache, handled more like a Pinot Noir in the cellar to preserve a light body and structure. Delicate aromas of brilliant red cherry transition into elegant flavors of raspberry, cranberry and toast. Best served slightly chilled with grilled king salmon dishes, this wine is approachable now and will age gracefully over the next 5-8 years
