Wine Review: This pale straw-colored Sauvignon Blanc from Quivira is impressive. It opens with a gooseberry bouquet with hints of yellow grapefruit and peach pit. On the palate, this wine is light bodied, pleasantly acidic and crisp. The flavor profile is a very tasty grapefruit and gooseberry blend with notes of lemon verbena and a touch of tangerine and lime. The finish is dry and quite refreshing. This is a crowd-pleasing Sauvignon Blanc that over delivers. I would pair it with grilled swordfish. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: The wine announces itself immediately with an exuberant nose of mixed citrus, passionfruit, white peach, and classic varietal grassy notes. Everything about this Sauvignon Blanc is clean and pure, with tightly focused aroma and flavor flowing into a smooth, seamless mouthfeel and ultimately a crisp, juicy, refreshing finish. An intriguing grilled pineapple character lingers pleasantly alongside the varietal grassiness.
