Wine Review: This medium purple color blend from Portugal opens with a plum bouquet with hints of mulberry and mint. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced and round. The flavor profile is a tasty plum, oak and crushed gravel blend with notes of Oolong tea. We also detected hints of red raspberry and strawberry. The finish is dry and its moderate tannins linger nicely. The Panel suggested pair this affordable Douro red blend with smoked burnt ends or an herb crusted sirloin roast. Enjoy – KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: This blend is a dark red color with a concentrated nose of intense mature red fruit aromas and hints of violet. The palate shows good structure, with mature, round tannins, leading to a long, persistent finish. Serve at room temperature with light meat dishes, such as pork, or with flavorful hard cheeses.
