Wine Review: This midnight purple colored Touriga Nacional opens with a plum and blackberry bouquet with a hint of lavender. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied and nicely balanced. The mouthfeel is round and easy to drink for a Touriga Nacional. Similar to the nose, the flavor profile is a mild blackberry and plum blend with notes of stony minerality, cherry-vanilla and a hint of nutmeg. The finish is dry and its moderate tannins drift away nicely. This is a very food friendly Touriga Nacional and it would pair perfectly with a New York strip steak at your favorite steak house.
