Wine Review: This very dark ruby and opaque colored "Field Blend" opens with a fragrant and attractive ripe black raspberry and oak bouquet with a hint of boysenberry. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, balanced and very rich. The flavor profile is a tasty blackberry and minerality blend. Its tannins coat you mouth and last for quite a while. This "Reserva" is quite a complex wine. I would serve it with a well marbled ribeye and very good friends. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: This blend is dark red, with crimson highlights and an intense, mature red fruit nose, with hints of violets and "Esteva" (a local Portuguese herb). The palate shows great structure and a full-bodied elegance, with mature, round tannins, leading to a long, persistent finish. Serve at room temperature with light meat dishes, such as pork, or flavorful, hard cheeses, such as Italian cow and sheep's milk cheeses.
