Wine Review: This opaque and midnight blue colored wine opens with a mild blackberry and black currant bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, nicely balanced and displays juicy fruit. The flavor profile is a mild black currant with notes of integrated gentle oak with hints of black pepper. The finish is dry and its mild tannins drift away nicely. This very nice red wine is a quaffer and would be perfect with Theresa's homemade meatloaf. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: The Quinta do Vallado Douro Red is dark red, with crimson highlights and an intense, mature red fruit nose, with hints of violets. The palate shows great structure and a full-bodied elegance, with mature, round tannins, leading to a long, persistent finish.
