Wine Review: This red blend named for the streets and alleys in Lisbon Portugal is ruby colored and has sweet red cherry, cranberry, cassis and hints of dried herbs and fig on the nose. It is very easy drinking, juicy and balanced, medium bodied and moderately acidic. There are flavors of black cherry, craisin, basil and light oak. I also found some strawberry and a bit of prune. The dry finish has some fine-grained tannins and a moderate length. Open a bottle with your glazed meatloaf and garlic mashed dinner. – Mark
Winemaker Notes: Made from Tinta Roriz, Touriga Nacional and Syrah grape varieties, this Reserva combines structure and elegance, in a blend of two of the most prestigious Portuguese grape varieties with the French Syrah. A brief stage in wood gave it complexity and roundness.
