Wine Review: This midnight purple colored wine from the Duoro region of Portugal opens with a blueberry bouquet with a hint of chocolate. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced and easy to drink. The flavor profile a mild dried blueberry with notes of nicely integrated minerality. I also picked up some hints of faint oak and red plum. The finish is dry and its moderate dusty tannins are nicely prolonged. This organic wine would pair nicely with burgers while tailgating this fall. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Aroma with notes of berries and spices, with a long, elegant finish and hints of licorice. Enjoy this wine with traditional Portuguese cuisine, meat, baked fish, smoked meats, as well as seasoned dishes. Excellent with curries.
