Wine Review: This very dark ruby colored red blend from Portugal is a very good value. It opens with a fragrant ripe blackberry bouquet with hints of cinnamon and boysenberry. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, smooth, and seamless. The flavor profile is a cassis and stony minerality blend with notes of oak, black licorice, and black pepper. I also detected some hints of tobacco and black pepper. The finish is very dry, and its polished dusty tannins stick around for quite some time. I would pair this well-made wine with steak fajitas. Enjoy - Ken
