Wine Review: This dark ruby colored Touriga Nacional opens with an inviting plum, blackberry, oak, and light pomegranate bouquet. On the palate, it is light to medium bodied, which is not typical for this grape. It also features balanced light tannins and acidity. The flavor profile features subtle black cherry and blackberry with notes of plum, light black pepper and oak. The dusty dry finish was pleasant and lingered. I thought this would be a nice summer red and would recommend pairing it with a gorgonzola burger with sautéed onions and mushrooms. - Joe

Winemaker Notes: Bold and lush, this wine is powerful and ripe. Good concentration of tannins and a bit of spice from the oak aging combine with black fruit and a hint of floral notes. Nicely textured. Pairs well with hearty grilled meat, sausage, and game dishes.
