Wine Review: This opaque and deep purple colored Cabernet Sauvignon based wine from Priest Ranch is Excellent! It opens with a blackberry and black raspberry bouquet with hints of wet river rock, black cherry and prune. On the palate, is full-bodied, well-balanced, lush and smooth. The flavor profile is a tasty ripe blackberry and graphite blend with notes of stewed black plum, anise and boysenberry. We also detected hints of cinnamon, black pepper, prune and oolong tea. The finish is dry and its flavors and moderate tannins are nicely prolonged. The Panel would pair this wine with the following dishes: Brazilian churrasco (mixed grille), beef carpaccio or beef wellington. Enjoy – KWGTP
