Wine Review: This dark red colored Carignane from Post & Vine opens with a forest floor and red raspberry bouquet with hints of nutmeg and pencil shavings. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is well-balanced, smooth, and fresh with nice tension. The flavor profile is spiced red plum and stony minerality blend with notes of red licorice and oolong tea. We also detected hints of cranberry and lingonberry. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity, and moderate fine-grained tannins stick around for a very long time. We would pair this outstanding value Carignane with poached salmon with wild rice and raspberry vinaigrette or roasted lamb with rosemary. Enjoy - KWGTP
