Wine Review: This medium cranberry colored Carignane opens with a craisin and raspberry tea bouquet with hints of violets and baking spice. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium acidity. The mouthfeel is well balanced, round, and very smooth. The flavor profile is a very tasty gentle raspberry and red plum blend with notes stone minerality and oolong tea. We also detected a hint of cranberry. The finish is dry and refreshing. This wine is fun and a bit of a quaffer. The Tasting Panel would pair this versatile Carignane with a tuna sushi. Enjoy – KWGTP
