Wine Review: This bright red colored Pinot Noir from Ponzi is very good. It opens with a fresh rose and faint strawberry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, smooth and easy going. The flavor profile is a gentle oak influenced strawberry with notes of plum and rhubarb. The finish is dry and its flavors drift away nicely. This Pinot Noir is quite food friendly and would pair well with fresh sliced Norwegian salmon. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: This compelling nose explodes with intriguing aromas of black cherry, dark chocolate, spiced rhubarb, cigar box and dried Ancho pepper. The structured palate has a sweet middle defined by spiced Amarena cherries, black pepper, graphite and dried cranberry. The finish is long and elegant with ripe red fruit lingering throughout.
