Wine Review: This ruby colored Pinot Noir from Ponzi opens with a fragrant oak infused black raspberry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, nicely balanced and very approachable. The flavor profile is a mild red currant and black plum blend with hints of gentle oak in the background. The finish is dry and its mild tannins and flavors fade away nicely. This Pinot is very food friendly and would pair well with sliced pork tenderloin with a fig glaze. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: Warm aromas of ripe plum, cola, tobacco and cayenne frame the floral notes of violet and dried rose petal in the nose. The plush and silky mouth shows spicy black cherry and sweet almond while the juicy acidity and soft tannins make this wine dangerously approachable.
