Wine Review: This slightly opaque and dark ruby colored Pinot Noir opens with a fragrant black raspberry and craisin like bouquet. On the palate, the wine is full bodied, nicely balanced, rich and fruit forward. The flavor profile is a delicious plum with notes of craisin and faint hints of blackberry, mild minerality and a touch of oak. The finish is dry and its very fine tannins and flavors last for a very long time. The top notch Pinot would pair well with lots of foods. I would serve it with fig and Great Hill blue cheese stuffed pork tenderloin. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: An explosive nose of Sambuca, sassafras, coffee, sweet Italian plum along with a spice box of nutmeg, star anise, ginger and cola. The palate is full and seamless. Baker’s chocolate, blueberry, lavender and tea lead to a long and balanced finish.
