Wine Review: This light yellow colored Chardonnay from Oregon is very good. It is made very much in a traditional California style. It opens with a bee's wax like bouquet with hints of pear and lemon. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, slightly acidic and very smooth. The flavor profile is a tasty lemon with nicely integrated mild new oak. I also detected notes of almond, butter, and a touch a pear. The finish is dry and its flavors linger and are nicely prolonged. This Chard is very food friendly and would pair well with pumpkin ravioli with a sage butter sauce. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: The perfumed nose shows notes of white peach, rose petal, nectarine and ripe melon. The mouth is layered with flavors of shortbread, candied tangerine and warm spices. The lemon chiffon finish is long and silky.
