Wine Review: This dark ruby colored wine from Bolgheri opens with a blackberry and black olive bouquet with hints of black licorice and black cherry. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, nicely balanced and very smooth. The flavor profile is a crush stone and blackberry blend with integrated oolong tea and oak. I detected hints of black olive and black jellybean mixed in. The finish is rather dry and its dusty fine tannins show very nice length. This wine would pair very nicely with Roy’s rib roast with Yorkshire pudding popovers. Enjoy - Ken
