Wine Review: This opaque and almost pitch black Cabernet Sauvignon opens with a fragrant and very ripe black cherry with a hint of plum. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, well balanced and very smooth. The flavor profile is a tasty black cherry and blueberry blend with hints of black pepper and mild old oak. The finish is dry and its moderate tannins are nicely prolonged. This wine would pair well with a filet mignon. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: The 2009 PlumpJack Estate Cabernet is a testament to the impressive terroir of our estate vineyard. While many fought the inclement weather our estate vineyard on the eastern side of Oakville was bathed in sunlight. Classic PlumpJack aromas of black cherry, blackberry, sage, iron filings and anise are followed on the palate with primary flavors of Bing cherry, blackberry, mocha and hints of vanilla.
