Wine Review: This straw colored Chardonnay opens with an appealing mild pear bouquet with a hint of oak. On the palate, this wine in medium bodied, nicely balanced and very approachable. The flavor profile is tasty light oak infused pear with notes of gentle toffee. I also detected hints of honey as well. The finish is dry and it drifts away nicely. This Chard is very food friendly and would pair well roasted chicken with garlic, lemon and rosemary with fingerling potatoes. Enjoy
Winemaker Notes: An elegant Chardonnay which presents soft white stone fruit characters of white peach and nectarine over a ripe citrus core. A touch of smokey, savoury oak combined a line of pure mineral acidity gives incredible freshness and length to the finish. This vintage in particular shows a capacity to age gracefully over time and will reward careful cellaring.
