Wine Review: The medium purple colored Nero d'Avola is impressive. It opens with a funky moist raisin and black cherry bouquet. On the palate, this wine shines. It is medium bodied, nicely balanced and super smooth. The flavor profile is a tasty black plum and gentle raisin blend with note of black cherry and nicely integrate minerality. There are hints of oolong tea, licorice, prune and oak is mixed in to the blend. The finish is dry and its fine tannins and flavors drift away nicely. I would pair this very good Nero d’Avola with venison stew. Enjoy - Ken

Winemaker Notes: A very spicy and fruity wine, brilliant and clear, perfumed with carob, bergamot, incense and orange peel. The compact ripe fruit and balsamic notes on the palate dissolve in a sweet and vigorous manner to accompany tannins of dense texture. Traces of graphite confer elements of a high tasting lineage while cleverly elicited wild blackberry and black cherry maintain the wine on a register of rigorous style and taste. A wine which has no fear of the riskiest matchings such as pork marinated with chili pepper.
