Wine Review: This white gold colored wine made from Carricante grapes opens with a honeydew melon and mild lime bouquet. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, slightly acidic, viscous and nicely coats your mouth. The flavors profile is a tasty mineral infused green apple with notes of yellow grapefruit. I also detected hints of lemon and lime zest. The finish is dry and its flavors and acidity show very nice length for white. This wine is food friendly and would pair with a lemon and herbed butter red snapper. Enjoy - Ken

Winemaker Notes: The Carricante grapes from Etna always give us great satisfaction as the combination of black sand and altitude provide distinct aromas and three dimensional flavors. In this vintage we find notes of white acacia flowers, fresh almonds and mountain peaches, on the palate it is juicy and full of hints of yellow plums and prickly pear. Perfect with raw fish and fresh fruit, with fish appetizers, and soft cheese.
