Wine Review: This refreshing and racy Sauvignon Blanc from Long Island, NY, is pale straw colored with a gentle bouquet of white peach, grapefruit, jasmine, and candied ginger. On the palate, it has a soft and round mouthfeel. It is light bodied with plus acidity and is clean and crisp. There are mild flavors of pink grapefruit, green apple, stony minerality and saline. Serve lightly chilled with chicken Caesar salad. – Mark

Winemaker Notes: Grown on the bluffs of Long Island’s North Fork, less than 100 yards from Long Island Sound. This wine opens with aromas of white peach, lemon grass and a hint of straw. The palate has lemon and green apple up front, followed by a long finish due to its great acidity. Pair this with shellfish and other local seafood favorites, a pasta primavera or creamy, mild cheeses.
