Wine Review: This dark red colored port opens with a mild caramel and tiramisu bouquet with hints of prune and cherry. On the palate, this wine is full bodied with plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round and bright. The flavor profile is a tasty-brandied Bing cherry, molasses and dark chocolate blend with hints black licorice, orange rind, and stewed plum. The finish is pleasantly sweet and controls the heat nicely. This is a beautiful sipping wine to serve with fans of Port after dinner. Enjoy – KWGTP (This wine also comes in 750 ml bottles for $29)

Winemaker Notes: Selected Cabernet Franc grapes are aged in small oak barrels for two years to create this deep and hearty vintage Port. Flavors of toffee, chocolate, and ripe cherry make this a perfect after-dinner accompaniment to fruit, dessert, and coffee. Will continue to mature beautifully for five to seven years. Our Port was selected to be in a time capsule commemorating the 50th anniversary of Brookhaven. The Port, which can age for years, is to be opened in about 50 years.
