Wine Review: This medium purple colored Cabernet Sauvignon is another excellent offering from Piña. It opens with a blueberry and black currant bouquet with hints of pencil shavings and French lavender soap. On the palate, this wine is full bodied with integrated medium acidity. The mouthfeel is well-balanced, rich, and smooth. The flavor profile is a tasty mild black cherry and crushed stone blend with notes of blueberry, milk chocolate, and spiced black plum. We also detected some hints of mild oak, black raspberry, and black tea. The finish is dry, and its well-managed tannins are very nicely extended. The Tasting Panel would decant this impressive Cab in the near term and pair it with a Brazilian skirt steak with golden garlic butter or with braised short ribs. Enjoy - KWGTP
