Wine Review: This very dark ruby colored Cabernet Sauvignon from Pina was one of our top wines in our recent Big Blind tasting. It opens with a fantastic leather and ripe black cherry bouquet with hints of vanilla and old library books. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, nicely balanced, mouthcoating and round. The flavors are a delicious and complex blend of cedar influenced black currant and black cherry with notes of graphite and hints of steeped black tea and black olive. The finish is dry and its refined tannins slowly drift away. The Panel suggested pairing this Cab with a filet mignon. Enjoy - KWGTP
